Job Description -Structural Engineer
Reports to: Design Engineer - Structural
Job Description:
The Structural Engineer is responsible to plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
- Provide drawing for designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by Designers/Drafters
- Research design options and document findings for project lead engineer
- Coordinate work with other disciplines such as mechanical and electrical
- Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering design documents
- Read and understand building codes, construction specifications and drawings
- Promptly report any critical risks to the Higher ups.
- Perform day to day tasks as assigned
Skills and Experience:
- Graduate preferably Post Graduate qualification in Structural / Civil Engineering
- Over 6 to 8 years of experience with advance knowledge in civil and/or structural engineering
- Experience in MNC's in Power, Oil&Gas, Material & Mineral beneficiation industries is desirable
- Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
- Knowledge of civil/structural design standards (ACI, AISC, ASCE, EURO, BS, AS CODE)
- High level of working knowledge in Staadpro latest version
- Knowledge of connection design software's such as Limcon, Masterseries & Ram connection will be added Advantage.
- Should be open to visit Client Project site across the globe, as and when need arises.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Must be able to work cross functionally with team members at all levels across multiple departments involved in different projects
