Job Summary:

The Warden (Boys Hostel) will be responsible for the overall administration, discipline, safety, and smooth functioning of the boys' hostel. The role involves managing day-to-day hostel operations, ensuring student welfare, maintaining discipline, and coordinating with internal departments and external agencies to provide a safe, secure, and supportive residential environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the overall administration and daily operations of the boys' hostel.

  • Ensure discipline, safety, and well-being of resident students in accordance with institutional policies.

  • Monitor hostel occupancy, room allotment, and adherence to hostel rules and regulations.

  • Address student grievances and take appropriate corrective and preventive actions.

  • Coordinate with security, housekeeping, maintenance, and catering teams for efficient hostel operations.

  • Ensure proper maintenance of hostel infrastructure, facilities, and assets.

  • Conduct regular inspections of hostel premises to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance.

  • Maintain hostel records, reports, and documentation related to residents, attendance, and incidents.

  • Liaise with college/university administration, parents, and local authorities as required.

  • Support emergency response procedures and ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.

  • Assist in organizing hostel activities and initiatives that promote discipline, harmony, and student well-being.


Qualifications:

Educational Qualification:

  • Graduate degree in Management, Hospitality, General Administration, or a related discipline from a reputed university or institution.

Professional Certifications:

  • Certifications in Hostel Management, Facilities Management, Safety & Security, or Administration will be an added advantage.

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hostel administration, residential facility management, or a similar role.

  • Retired military personnel with relevant administrative and supervisory experience are encouraged to apply.


Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.

  • Excellent leadership and people-management abilities.

  • Knowledge of hostel operations, discipline management, and student welfare practices.

  • Ability to handle conflicts, emergencies, and sensitive situations calmly and effectively.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Working knowledge of safety, security, and basic facilities management.

  • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and work independently.

  • High level of integrity, discipline, and responsibility.
