About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented, technically strong, and motivated Senior Tax Analyst to support our growing global tax function. This role will contribute to day-to-day tax compliance, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration while helping maintain a strong internal control and reporting environment appropriate for a fast-growing SaaS company.

This is a full-time position based in our Bengaluru, India office. During the quarter-end close period (second week/three to five days after quarter end) and during the initial onboarding period (typically 3 months), the role will primarily work U.S. business hours in a remote capacity to support close collaboration with the team. As the individual gains proficiency and autonomy in the role, the position will transition to a hybrid, in-office schedule in Bengaluru, working standard IST hours aside from the recurring quarter-end close period. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.

What You'll Do

  • Support global indirect tax compliance, including sales and use tax, VAT/GST, and other applicable indirect taxes.
  • Prepare and review indirect tax filings and reconciliations in coordination with external advisors.
  • Assist with the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of sales tax engine systems to ensure accurate tax calculation and reporting.
  • Maintain the tax compliance calendar and ensure timely filings and payments.
  • Prepare indirect tax accruals and related journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly account reconciliations related to tax accounts.
  • Support cash tax forecasting and indirect tax accrual calculations in collaboration with FP&A.
  • Assist with VAT/GST registrations and compliance requirements related to international expansion.
  • Support indirect tax audits and voluntary disclosure processes by gathering documentation and preparing requested materials.
  • Contribute to process documentation and internal control improvements to ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements.
  • Participate in tax-related projects and system enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability.

Skills We're Looking For

  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in public accounting and/or industry, with exposure to indirect tax and tax compliance.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of U.S. indirect tax rules; familiarity with VAT/GST concepts is a plus.
  • Systems Experience: Experience with sales tax engines (e.g., Avalara) and ERP systems (NetSuite experience a plus).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Process-Oriented Mindset: Interest in improving processes and leveraging automation to enhance efficiency.
  • Proactive and Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
