Business Analyst (IC)

We are looking for a Business Analyst who operates within a Builder-oriented delivery model, working closely with product, engineering, and client stakeholders to shape, design, and deliver scalable solutions. In this role, the BA acts as a solution collaborator, translating business needs into implementable product capabilities, partnering with developers and architects to iteratively refine requirements and ensure successful delivery.

Education Requirements

  • B.Tech/ BCA/ M.Tech/ MCA/ MBA
  • Certification in Insurance or IT Business Analysis Preferred

Work Experience Requirements

  • 6 to 9 years overall experience
  • At least 4 years as Business Analyst working with Development Team

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Solution Discovery & Design
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and architects to shape solution approaches for business problems.
  • Translate business needs into clear product capabilities, workflows, and technical requirements.
  • Participate in solution design discussions to ensure business requirements are technically feasible and scalable.
  • Contribute to system design and business architecture discussions.
  • Builder Collaboration
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, builders and engineering teams to break down features into implementable user stories and tasks.
  • Facilitate requirement discovery sessions, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.
  • Clarify business rules, edge cases, and integration scenarios during development cycles.
  • Product Development Support
  • Support development and QA teams by validating requirements, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios.
  • Ensure product capabilities align with customer experience and business objectives.
  • Assist in the development of new client interfaces and integrations, while supporting maintenance and enhancements of existing systems.
  • Requirements & Documentation
  • Capture and maintain requirements in structured artifacts such as user stories, workflows, and functional specifications.
  • Ensure product documentation is organized, traceable, and accessible across teams.

Skills

Technical Skills

  • AIFirst Business & Product Analysis
    • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools (e.g., Copilot, GenAI assistants, analytics tools) to accelerate requirements analysis, user story creation, acceptance criteria, data insights, and stakeholder communication.
    • Strong understanding of Property & Casualty Insurance domain and business workflows.
    • Proven experience in IT Business Analysis and solution delivery with a strong outcome focus.
    • Ability to define and continuously refine project scope, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics in fastmoving environments.
  • Agile, Delivery & CrossFunctional Skills
    • Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum / Kanban).
    • Handson experience with JIRA for backlog grooming, sprint planning, and delivery tracking.
    • Strong understanding of system integrations and APIs (XML / JSON).
    • Actively supports development, QA, UAT, and release cycles, with willingness to blur boundaries between BA, PO, QA, and light technical/development support to unblock teams and deliver faster.
  • Data, Insights & Reporting
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
    • Ability to write queries and analyze data to validate requirements and generate business insights.
    • Familiarity with Power BI dashboards and reporting (good to have).
    • Uses AI to speed up analysis, identify patterns, and improve decisionmaking.

Process Specific Skills

  • Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies, with a clear preference for iterative, valuedriven delivery.
  • Comfortable operating in environments with changing requirements, overlapping roles, and tight delivery timelines.
  • Insurance domain knowledge (P&C) preferred

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities with comfort handling ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across business and engineering teams.
  • Ability to facilitate crossfunctional collaboration and drive alignment across BA, PO, QA, and Dev roles.
