Description:
• Install, configure, and upgrade Teradata software; manage database objects (tables, views, indexes) and maintain database security (user roles, profiles, access rights).
• Utilize Teradata Viewpoint and TASM/TDWM to tune query performance, resolve bottlenecks, and manage system workload prioritization.
• Allocate permanent/spool/temp space, monitor growth, and handle table maintenance, including Multi-Value Compression (MVC).
• Manage Backup, Archive & Restore (BAR) operations (e.g., NetBackup, DSA, ARCMAIN) to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery compliance.
• Provide 24/7 production support to resolve incident tickets, optimize SQL, and support ETL/ELT processes using tools like BTEQ, FastLoad, and TPT.
• Develop UNIX/Linux shell scripts and Python for automating maintenance tasks.
