Key Responsibilities
Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with strong experience in Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and Windows Installer technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in YAML pipeline creation, PowerShell scripting, MSI packaging, and WiX toolset, along with experience in automating build and deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (YAML-based pipelines).

Automate build, packaging, and deployment workflows for .NET applications using C# and PowerShell.

Develop and maintain MSI installers using WiX Toolset (WIXProj, WXS files).

Create and manage Bootstrapper installers and handle complex installation scenarios.

Build and maintain NuGet packages, including versioning strategy and release management.

Implement and Troubleshoot Custom Actions within Windows Installer packages.

Perform package harvesting and manage dependencies for installer creation.

Ensure proper integration of builds, packaging, and release pipelines.

Optimize deployment processes for reliability, scalability, and performance.

Collaborate with development teams to streamline release processes.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines (YAML-based)

Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation

Solid development experience with C# (.NET applications)

Good in Analysis and derive estimations

Troubleshooting, Log analysis, debugging skills

AIR values including availability & commitment towards work

Good team player

Hands-on expertise in:

WiX Toolset (WIXProj, WXS file creation)

MSI package creation & Windows Installer architecture

Bootstrapper creation and configuration

Custom Actions in MSI

Experience with NuGet package creation, publishing, and versioning

Knowledge of package harvesting techniques

Strong understanding of software release lifecycle and DevOps practices

Good to Have Skills

Experience with Azure cloud services

Knowledge of artifact repositories and dependency management

Familiarity with secure DevOps practices

Experience with build tools like MSBuild

Exposure to the Installation activities in Alstom (e.g., SCC-Urban)
