Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Lab Assistant to support daily laboratory operations. The role involves preparing lab equipment, assisting with experiments or tests, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safety standards are followed at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials for experiments or testing

• Assist lab technicians or scientists during experiments and procedures

• Clean, sterilize, and maintain laboratory tools and workspaces

• Label, store, and manage samples properly

• Record observations, results, and maintain lab logs

• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and hygiene protocols

• Handle chemicals, specimens, or instruments as per guidelines

• Dispose of laboratory waste safely

• Monitor inventory and report low stock of lab supplies

Required Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field

• Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures

• Understanding of safety and hygiene standards

• Ability to follow instructions accurately

• Attention to detail

• Good organizational skills

• Basic documentation and record-keeping

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• Physically fit to stand for long hours (if required)

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

• Previous experience as a lab assistant or trainee

• Familiarity with laboratory instruments and sample handling
