Software Engineer - Web

Job Summary We need smart people to solve tough problems. We are seeking hands-on, innovative and experienced web developers for the development of our next generation secure content collaboration platform. Essential Functions Excellent software engineering skills, the ability to work on a dynamic, cross functional team and the interest and desire to learn and apply new technologies is required. You will participate in all stages of design, coding, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance. You will need to keep up-to-date on the fast moving web technology landscape. Technical Requirements Minimum 4 years of software product development experience. Startup experience is a plus. Experience in design of scalable, RESTful web services. Deep knowledge of Java and/or Python. Experience with Ruby is an added plus. Good knowledge of SQL/NoSQL Databases. Core competency in HTML / HTML5, CSS, & JavaScript. Experience with client side video frameworks and players is also desirable. Working knowledge of cryptography and web security best practices is required. Must have a strong academic background from a premier engineering institute. Desired Soft Competencies Good skills - demonstrated ability to work with teams in the US. Clear and concise articulation of technical ideas and status of work. Must be able to plan work, commit schedules and deliver on time. Passionate and motivated, this individual must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic. Thoroughly documents work in an organized manner. Strong in coding, algorithms, data structure and problem solving skills.
