Brief Job Overview

The Marketing Operations Manager will play a critical role in supporting regional marketing planning and execution, sales enablement, and marketing project management. Based in Hyderabad, India, this role functionally reports to the Sr. Director of Marketing Operations based in the Rockville, MD. This role works side-by-side with the Sr. Director to drive excellence and consistency in regional marketing planning and execution, sales enablement, and marketing project management. Critical to regional marketing execution will be the creation of process documentation and RACI charts, facilitation of the sharing of best practices, and becoming a subject matter expert of Blackthorn and other tools to support the regional teams. In addition, the individual will have the responsibility for managing and supporting the sales enablement and project management teams based in Hyderabad, India.

The Marketing Operations Manager has the following responsibilities:

  • Manage the Sales Enablement team based in Hyderabad and ensure on-demand, live training, sales resources like Playbooks, e-learning courses, SharePoint Hubs, Tableau dashboards and more are delivered on time throughout the year.
  • Manage the Project Management team based in Hyderabad to deliver quality projects, on time and on budget.
  • Set priorities, allocate resources, and ensure quality and on-time delivery.
  • Coach, develop, and performance-manage team members.
  • Create and maintain process documentation including templates, job aids, and checklists to support regional marketing leads.
  • Standardize execution processes for promotions, events, and campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain RACI charts.
  • Facilitate sharing of best practices among regional marketing points of contact.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Blackthorn for event execution.
  • Support coordination with the regions on the management, capture, and follow up of MQL’s.
  • Support coordination with the regions on execution of global and regional marketing campaigns.
  • Work with Data Analytics teams to ensure data is properly stored and managed to ensure effective use across the organization.

Who is USP Looking For?

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 5 or more years of experience in marketing or sales in life science or pharmaceuticals.
  • 2 or more years of experience managing people.
  • 2 or more years of managing projects across international geographies.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data to present ideas, conclusions, and factual data in clear and concise written and oral formats.
  • High proficiency using Microsoft Office
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks independently
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, and planning skills required.
  • Self-motivated, bias towards actions and be results oriented
  • Strong process and project management skills; able to manage initiatives involving cross functional teams within a matrixed structure according to timelines and business goals.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to inspire trust, confidence, and communicate effectively with internal audiences.
  • Collaborative within various teams and successful track record working in a complex global, matrix and fast-paced multi-task environment.

  • Deep knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Scientific background / understanding of analytical science coupled with successful sales track record
