Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical Assembler to join our manufacturing team in Vadodara. The role involves hands-on assembly, testing, and process improvement of critical oil & gas components such as packers and valves. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring product quality, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety standards while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform assembly and testing of mechanical components including TRSVs, packers, and ball valves
  • Conduct pressure testing, leak testing, torque application, copper plating, and phosphating processes
  • Interpret and execute tasks based on engineering drawings, SOPs, and technical documentation
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations to achieve zero-defect output
  • Drive continuous improvement to enhance utilization, capacity, and shop floor efficiency
  • Implement Lean manufacturing practices including 5S, TPM, and Kaizen
  • Maintain documentation and prepare reports using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, planning, and machine shop teams
Skills
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical assembly and testing in manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of pressure testing, leak testing, and torque application tools
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and SOPs
  • Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs such as utilization, efficiency, and OEE
  • Understanding of Lean tools including 5S, TPM, and Kaizen
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing operations
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Heavy Engineering, or Automotive Manufacturing preferred
  • Exposure to shop floor operations and process improvement initiatives
