Job Description:
We are seeking an MDM Consultant with 3–5+ years of experience to support enterprise
master data initiatives. The role focuses on designing and managing standardized master
data across various domains (e.g. Customer, Dealer, Supplier, etc.) to ensure consistent and
trusted data availability across the organization. The consultant will also define master data
components, develop SOPs, and support data governance practices.
Master Data Design & Modelling
• - Define master data structures, attributes, hierarchies, and business rules across
domains (e.g. Customer, Dealer, Supplier, etc.).
• - Conduct data profiling and propose standardization and data quality rules.
• - Maintain documentation, metadata, and domain-level guidelines.
MDM Platform Implementation & Support
• - Support configuration and management of the enterprise MDM platform.
• - Assist with match/merge logic, survivorship rules, validation rules, and workflows.
• - Support integration between MDM and SAP, ERP, CRM, and downstream systems.
SAP Master Data Understanding
• - Provide working knowledge of SAP master data objects (e.g. Customer, Vendor,
Material, etc.).
• - Collaborate with SAP teams to align MDM rules with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, or MDG.
• - Support harmonization between MDM golden records and SAP systems.
Global Data Access & Consumption
• - Support enabling secure global access to standardized master data.
• - Interface with data engineering teams for downstream data usage.
• - GCP understanding preferred for collaboration with cloud and analytics teams.
SOP & Process Documentation
• - Develop and maintain SOPs for master data creation, updates, approvals, and lifecycle
management.
• - Define roles such as data owners, stewards, and approvers.
• - Build workflow diagrams, RACI matrices, and training documentation.
Data Governance & Quality
• - Support implementation of data governance standards, policies, and stewardship
practices.
• - Define and monitor data quality rules and KPIs.
• - Collaborate with governance teams for issue resolution and policy compliance.
Required Skills
• - 3–5+ years of experience in Master Data Management or related fields.
• - Understanding of master data domains (e.g. Customer, Dealer, Supplier, etc.).
• - Experience with MDM platforms (Informatica MDM/360, Reltio, Semarchy, SAP MDG,
etc.).
• - Knowledge of SAP master data (Customer, Vendor, Material, etc.).
• - Experience with SOP creation and process mapping.
• - Strong grasp of match/merge logic, survivorship rules, and validation rules.
• - Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
• - Experience or understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• - Exposure to API-based data sharing or integrations.
• - Experience working with data stewardship operations.
Soft Skills
• - Analytical, structured, and detail-oriented.
