Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Application Development
• Design, develop, and maintain applications using SAP CAP (Node.js / Java) on
SAP BTP
• Build responsive and scalable UIs using SAP UI5 / SAP Fiori (Freestyle & Fiori
Elements)
• Design and implement OData V4 services using CDS (Core Data Services)
• Implement CRUD operations, validations, and business logic in CAP services
Integration & Security
• Integrate applications with SAP and non-SAP systems using APIs
• Handle authentication and authorization using XSUAA
• Configure and manage Destinations, Connectivity, and secure API access
• Develop and configure SAP App Router for routing and security
Platform & Data
• Work with SAP HANA Cloud and PostgreSQL databases
• Optimize application performance for large datasets using:
o Pagination
o Filtering
o Sorting
• Implement event-based logic, workflow, and email notifications using BTP
services
Deployment & Collaboration
• Build and deploy applications using MTA (Multi-Target Application) on SAP BTP
• Use SAP Business Application Studio (Client) for development
• Collaborate with functional teams for requirement analysis and solution design
• Follow Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines
Required Technical Skills
Core Skills
• Strong experience in JavaScript / Node.js
• Hands-on experience with SAP CAP (CAPM)
• Strong knowledge of SAP UI5 / SAP Fiori
• Experience with CDS (Core Data Services)
• Knowledge of OData V2 / OData V4
SAP BTP Expertise
• Experience with SAP BTP services, including:
o XSUAA
o Destination
o Connectivity
o Workflow
• Experience with SAP HANA Cloud / PostgreSQL
• Experience with App Router and MTA deployment
Frontend & Tools
• Strong understanding of:
o HTML5
o CSS3
o JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience with SAP Business Application Studio
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines
Nice-to-Have (Optional)
• Experience with Fiori Elements extensions
• Exposure to SAP Integration Suite / CPI
