Core Competencies
• Strong technical expertise in IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS), including the creation, configuration, and administration of jobs, job streams, calendars, and events.
• Proven hands-on experience in developing and maintaining Linux shell scripts (.sh, .ksh, .csh, .bash) tailored to customer and operational requirements.
• Ability to independently handle incidents, service requests, and standard changes, ensuring adherence to ITIL best practices and escalating complex issues when required.
• Experience in maintaining, supporting, and optimizing enterprise infrastructure environments to ensure high availability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Proactively monitor and manage batch jobs and job streams running on IBM Workload Scheduler.
• Design and implement new jobs, job streams, events, calendars, and other IWS objects based on customer and business requirements.
• Develop and enhance shell scripts in accordance with job specifications and scheduling requirements.
• Analyse and troubleshoot failed IWS jobs by reviewing logs and identifying root causes to ensure timely resolution.
• Navigate, review, and debug existing scripts using strong working knowledge of Unix and Linux commands to support efficient issue resolution and system stability.
