Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and implement complex engineering solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments using Ansible and other relevant tools.
• Develop and optimize database objects, stored procedures, functions, and triggers using PL/SQL for efficient data management and retrieval.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code primarily in Python for various applications, scripting, and data processing tasks.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical designs and solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards, security best practices, and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across various environments.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and engineering processes.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends, evaluating their potential application within our Client.
Required Skills and Experience:
• 7+ years of progressive experience in an engineering role.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Ansible for automation, configuration management, and orchestration.
• Deep expertise in PL/SQL development, including writing and optimizing complex stored procedures, functions, and packages.
• Proven proficiency in Python programming, including experience with relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g., data manipulation, scripting, web frameworks).
• Solid understanding of database concepts and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL).
• Linux and shell scripting experience
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitLab, GitHub).
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Desired Skills (Good to have):
• Experience with other automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Puppet, Chef).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native services.
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is a plus for data-focused roles.
• Understanding of microservices architecture.
