Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
1) Data Quality Framework & Rules
• Define DQ dimensions and rules (completeness, accuracy, validity, uniqueness, timeliness, reconciliation) for critical datasets.
• Establish DQ standards aligned to regulatory, security, and governance requirements.
2) DQ Implementation Across Medallion Layers
• Implement automated DQ checks at ingestion (Bronze), transformation (Silver), and consumption (Gold) stages.
• Ensure CDC/streaming and batch pipelines include validation, exception handling, and retry logic.
3) Critical Data Elements (CDEs) & Regulatory Readiness
• Identify and manage CDEs used in regulatory/statutory reporting.
• Ensure traceability from source → transformation → report/API with evidence for audits.
4) Monitoring, Dashboards & Incident Handling
• Build and maintain DQ dashboards and scorecards; define thresholds and alerts.
• Lead DQ incident triage, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
5) Governance, Metadata & Lineage
• Catalog DQ rules, metrics, and ownership in approved governance tools.
• Maintain lineage and data dictionaries to support audits and compliance.
6) Enablement for Reporting, APIs & AI
• Validate datasets powering Looker semantic layer, APIs/data products, and AI agents.
• Ensure DQ guardrails for near real time data and self service consumption.
7) Delivery & Collaboration
• Work in agile sprints; define acceptance criteria; support SIT/UAT and go live.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, MDM, Governance, Reporting, and API teams.
Deliverables (What "Done” Looks Like)
• DQ framework & rulebook (by domain/layer)
• Automated DQ checks with exception handling
• DQ dashboards, alerts, and runbooks
• CDE register with reconciliation controls
• Audit evidence pack (DQ results, lineage, approvals)
Required Skills & Experience
Must Have
• 5–8+ years in Data Quality / Data Governance roles.
• Strong understanding of DQ dimensions, profiling, reconciliation, and exception management.
• Experience supporting regulatory reporting and audit readiness.
Preferred (Program Relevant)
• GCP data stack exposure (BigQuery, orchestration patterns; familiarity with streaming/batch).
• Experience with metadata/lineage and governance tools.
• Awareness of FHIR / ACORD concepts and data standardization impacts.
