Initially for a month shift will be 8 hours x 5 days (8:30 AM to 4:30 PM IST) afterwards it will become a 10 hour shift from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM IST for 4 days in a week

Responsibilities:
Minimize downtime by playing a critical role in incident management process as an Incident Commander
Drive improvements to our incident and operating playbooks with better processes and resources.
Control and coordinate IT Infrastructure changes performed simultaneously by multiple engineers
Manage and maintain monitoring of corporate IT infrastructure (servers, storage, applications, network)
Closely partnering and collaborating with stakeholders, internal teams, and vendors to maintain business continuity
Troubleshoot and perform systems, storage and network analysis for usage monitoring and capacity trending to ensure service quality
Actively participate in IT Site Reliability team discussions and express your ideas openly
Help onboard and ramp up new members of the team
Deliver on project milestone commitments and deadlines that are often set by your managers and senior members of the team
Automate repetitive manual tasks and processes
Manage tickets related to incidents, system(s) diagnostics/troubleshooting and network/system upgrades
Incident Commanders occasionally available on-call as Duty Manager to lead high severity incidents

Required Experience:
3 - 5 years of experience in a 24x7 high availability environment managing incident and change management, including Systems, Networks, and Monitoring
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Ability to lead high severity incidents by establishing impact, evaluate resolution scenarios, make decisions based on inputs from Subject Matter Experts, and formulate impact on both technical and business language
Strong written and verbal skills to communicate complex technical information effectively to the business and leadership
Outstanding ability to problem-solve, influence others, and manage relationships
Experience and understanding of ITIL framework, specifically Incident and Change Management
Experience with using and managing the monitoring of IT Infrastructure and Applications
Solid knowledge of the concepts of cloud computing, like AWS, and its core services
Excellent network switch and route troubleshooting background
Experience with high-performance, high availability wired and wireless networks
Ability to quickly diagnose problems on Hosted and Cloud-based Windows and Linux OS servers with common tools (log files or application errors)
Exposure to virtualization technologies, like VMware; experience troubleshooting using VMware vCenter
