MCP Engineer Agentic AI - Offshore

We are looking for a forward-thinking Software Engineer with strong Python expertise and hands-on experience in Agentic AI development. This role is designed for engineers who are comfortable building with AI coding agents and leveraging modern AI-powered workflows to accelerate development.

You will work in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments where 3-4 hour rapid SDLC workshops drive real production outcomes. The ideal candidate knows how to effectively partner with AI agents-using them to generate code, tests, user stories, and PRs-while maintaining strong engineering judgment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality applications and services using Python.
• Confidently use AI coding agents (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and similar tools) to accelerate development.
• Lead and participate in rapid SDLC workshop sessions to build production-ready components.
• Leverage agents to generate:
  • User stories
  • Code implementations
  • Test cases
  • Pull requests
• Exercise judgment on when to rely on agent-generated code vs. manual engineering.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, QEs, data scientists, and product stakeholders in live working sessions.
• Iterate quickly in high-visibility environments with executive stakeholders (CIO, CFO, etc.).
• Codify repeatable patterns and improve automation-driven development workflows.
• Contribute to scaling AI-assisted development practices across broader teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of software engineering experience (Python required).
• Strong hands-on experience with AI coding assistants such as:
  • Claude Code
  • GitHub Copilot
  • Other AI code agents
• Experience working in automation-driven SDLC environments.
• Deep understanding of:
  • Agentic reasoning
  • Prompt engineering for code generation
  • AI-assisted testing and validation
• Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, and cloud-based architectures.
• Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast, collaborative, and high-visibility environments.
