Resident Engineer / Wireless Network Consultant

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and design wireless networks to ensure optimal coverage, capacity, and performance
  • Implement and manage wireless security protocols and encryption mechanisms
  • Design, integrate, test, deploy, and support enterprise wireless (AP) infrastructure
  • Lead wireless engineering initiatives across WAN, LAN, and WLAN environments
  • Understand customer organization, processes, and network architecture to deliver sustainable solutions
  • Conduct workshops to gather requirements and assess existing network designs
  • Perform lab testing of new tools, features, and functionalities before production rollout
  • Validate patches and software fixes in pre-production and live environments
  • Conduct technical workshops with customers for issue resolution and solution discussions
  • Provide regular case updates, RCA, and workaround/solution recommendations



Required Skills & Experience
Wireless & Networking
  • Strong experience in Mist design, deployment, and assurance
  • Hands-on experience with Mist API and Web UI
  • Expertise in Wi-Fi standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax) including Wi-Fi 6/6E/7
  • Experience in RF planning and site surveys (Ekahau, AirMagnet)

Routing, Switching & Data Center
  • Experience with QFX, EX, and PTX platforms
  • Strong knowledge of EVPN/VXLAN architectures
  • Expertise in BGP (iBGP/eBGP) and OSPF
  • Solid understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking

Security & Architecture
  • Experience with Zero Trust and Dynamic Segmentation
  • Knowledge of AAA (RADIUS/TACACS+)
  • Experience with NAC solutions (e.g., ClearPass)

Automation & Tools
  • Experience with Python scripting
  • Knowledge of Ansible, YAML, and Juniper PyEZ
  • JUNOS CLI expertise

Additional Experience
  • Experience with Juniper Campus Fabric using Mist
  • Familiarity with Apstra (Data Center automation)
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in large-scale IP network environments
