Full-Stack Software Engineer (Contract) - Java/Spring & React/Next.js Overview We are urgently seeking a seasoned Full-Stack Software Engineer for a high-impact contract role. We require a minimum of 4+ years of professional experience delivering robust, full-stack applications with expertise in Java and the React ecosystem. The successful candidate will own the end-to-end development life cycle, from backend data modeling and microservices to the deployment of modern, performant front-end interfaces. Key Responsibilities Backend Engineering (Java/Spring): Design, develop, and maintain secure, high-throughput RESTful APIs using Java and the Spring Boot framework. Implement efficient data persistence layers utilizing Hibernate ORM with a PostgreSQL database. Frontend Development (React): Build modern, responsive, and component-based user interfaces using React.js. Leverage server-side rendering or static generation using Next.js where appropriate to optimize performance and SEO. Search & Data Layer: Integrate with and optimize high-volume search and analytics systems like Solr or OpenSearch to power key application features. Cloud Operations & Deployment: Utilize AWS services for application deployment, scaling, and monitoring. Quality Assurance & Standards: Enforce coding standards, participate in peer code reviews, and ensure thorough unit and integration testing across the full stack. Required Skills & Experience Professional Experience Minimum 4+ years of professional, hands-on experience in full-stack web development. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum environment. Excellent technical communication skills. Technical Expertise (Must-Haves) Stack Area Key Requirements Backend Java (Java 8+), Spring Boot (Microservices), and Hibernate ORM. Database Deep proficiency with PostgreSQL, including query optimization and schema design. Frontend React.js (Functional Components, Hooks), modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML/CSS Cloud/DevOps Practical experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda). Highly Desirable Skills (Big Plus) Experience developing production applications with Next.js for server-side rendering or static generation. Direct experience with search platforms such as Apache Solr or OpenSearch/Elasticsearch. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker. Project & Location Details Local Candidate Advantage: Candidates currently residing in or near Gurgaon who are available for occasional in-office meetings or a hybrid work model will be preferred.
