Job description:

This is a Level 3 (L3) support role, responsible for handling critical, complex issues in production environments. The engineer acts as an escalation point for L1/L2 teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle advanced Linux troubleshooting and performance issues
• Work on incident, problem, and change management
• Debug kernel, system, and application-level issues
• Support high-availability and production systems
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors
• Automate repetitive operational tasks

Required Skills & Expertise

1. Linux Distributions

• Strong experience in:

• • SUSE Linux Enterprise
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • Ubuntu

2. Core Linux Skills

• System administration and troubleshooting
• Boot process, kernel tuning
• Networking, storage (LVM, file systems)
• Performance tuning and monitoring

3. Scripting & Automation

• Shell scripting (Bash)
• Automation tools (e.g., Ansible preferred)

4. Virtualization & Hypervisors

• KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine)
• Understanding of virtual machine management and performance

5. Cloud & OpenStack

• Experience with:

• • Canonical OpenStack (Ubuntu-based)
  • Red Hat OpenStack Platform

• Understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts

6. Additional/Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of SGELX / enterprise tools (clarify internally if needed)
• Exposure to VME environments (Virtual Machine Ecosystems or similar)
