Role Overview

As a senior-level individual contributor, you will establish and scale enterprise-grade data governance while leading advanced Workday analytics. You will bridge the gap between People Operations, Finance, and IT to ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance (SOX, GDPR), and innovation through Gen AI-driven reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Governance & Stewardship

  • Framework Ownership: Define and maintain enterprise data standards, policies, and ownership models.

  • Compliance & Privacy: Partner with Legal and Security to ensure alignment with GDPR and HIPAA.

  • Documentation: Manage data dictionaries, metadata, and lineage to ensure transparent data accountability.

2. Advanced Workday Reporting & Analytics

  • Report Architecture: Design complex Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and Trending reports using Workday Prism and Discovery Boards.

  • System Optimization: Build scalable calculated fields and optimize report performance across HCM, Payroll, and Finance.

  • Insights: Translate complex business requirements into actionable, high-performance dashboards for leadership.

3. Compliance, SOX & Audit

  • Control Management: Maintain SOX controls, ITGCs, and automated data checks to ensure "audit-ready" reporting.

  • Risk Mitigation: Support internal audits, monitor control deficiencies, and lead timely remediation of gaps.

  • Access Reviews: Oversee user access and Segregation of Duties (SoD) reporting.

4. Data Quality & Integrity

  • Automated Oversight: Develop automated exception reporting and quality checks to proactively detect anomalies.

  • Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into data inconsistencies and implement permanent remediation strategies.

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive the evolution of data governance maturity across all HR systems.

5. Strategic Collaboration

  • Business Partnership: Consult with People and Finance leaders to provide data-driven recommendations.

  • Literacy & Training: Upskill business users on reporting tools and data best practices to foster a data-centric culture.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience: 8-10+ years in Data Governance, HRIS, or Analytics; 5-8+ years of hands-on Workday Reporting.

  • Technical Depth: Expert knowledge of Workday data structures, security models, and complex calculated fields.

  • Compliance: Proven track record managing data quality initiatives and audit/compliance requirements.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of global data privacy regulations.

  • Workday HCM or Reporting Certifications.

  • Experience implementing Gen AI or automation frameworks within People Operations.
