Job Purpose: Team Member - Marketing Dry Cargo is responsible for driving sales growth and customer satisfaction in the dry cargo sector by effectively managing client relationships and executing marketing strategies. This role focuses on achieving budgeted targets for various commodities, ensuring seamless coordination with internal teams, and providing exceptional service to enhance the port's market presence and profitability

Education Qualification:

Graduate or MBA or PG in Marketing or Manufacturing or Logistics stream.

Work Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing or Shipping Logistics or with Importers / exporters will be preferred

Market Promotion & Engagement:

Actively promote port services and maintain regular contact with customers through direct presentations and participation in industry events, trade shows, and conferences.

Proposal and Contract Management:

Prepare and send client proposals within marketing bandwidth, and draft contracts for customer confirmation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Lead Generation:

Manage payment collection processes, including regular follow-up on outstanding payments to ensure timely revenue flow.

Customer Inquiry Resolution:

Address and resolve customer queries by identifying issues, providing suitable solutions, and following up to ensure complete satisfaction.

Market Reasearch & Analysis:

Conduct competition mapping by tracking existing and prospective customers at competing ports to inform strategic decision-making.

Documentation and Reporting:

Develop detailed profiles for current and prospective clients, and periodically prepare and submit MIS reports and presentations to the management for strategic insights.

Client Profiling:

Compile comprehensive client profiles (Black Book) detailing product information, production capacity, consumption patterns, and key decision-makers for both current and prospective clients.

Digital Mindset:

Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness.

Key Stakeholders - Internal:

CEO - Ports, Other Departments - HoDs, Direct reportees

Key Stakeholders - External:

Prospective clients, government and regulatory bodies, Trade groups, Comptetiors
