About the Role
We're looking for an Operations Lead to own end-to-end production and supply chain - from sourcing raw materials to shipping finished goods to customers in the US. You'll be responsible for ensuring quality, cost, and delivery timelines are consistently met. You should be comfortable operating in a fast-moving, unstructured environment where processes need to be built, not just followed. You'll need to balance speed with quality and think on your feet when things don't go as planned. This is not a desk job. You'll be splitting time between suppliers, our contract manufacturer, and coordinating with partners across geographies to keep production moving.
What You'll Do
Sourcing & Supplier Management
Manage relationships with existing suppliers while identifying and qualifying new ones
Negotiate with suppliers and OEMs on pricing, payment terms, quality standards, and delivery timelines to ensure operational efficiency and product quality
Establish and maintain supplier evaluation criteria to ensure consistency and reliability
Coordinate with the accounts team to ensure timely payments, and manage all purchase orders, proforma invoices, and commercial invoices
Cost & Efficiency
Drive cost optimisation across the value chain - from parts and raw materials through supply chain, warehousing, and shipping - to improve unit economics without compromising quality
Production & Quality
Implement and maintain structured production practices and continuous improvement methodologies (lean manufacturing, root cause analysis, mistake-proofing, failure mode analysis, etc.)
Own incoming and final quality control processes to ensure consistent product standards
Identify opportunities for assembly process improvements and automation
Collaborate with the design and engineering team to ensure products are designed for manufacturability
Logistics & Trade
Work with freight forwarders to ensure consignments are picked up and delivered on schedule
Coordinate with customs handling agents to resolve import-export queries
Ensure smooth domestic movement of raw materials across locations
Documentation
Create and maintain detailed production and process documentation
What We're Looking For
2+ years of experience in production, manufacturing, and/or supply chain operations
Hands-on experience working at a manufacturing or production facility, overseeing end-to-end processes from material inward through production to shipping finished goods to customers
Comfortable negotiating with suppliers and driving down costs without compromising on pre-defined quality standards
Someone comfortable being hands-on at the production floor and committed to ensuring finished goods ship on schedule
Strong communication skills in English - you'll be coordinating with international
suppliers and trade partners regularly
Ability to prioritise and resolve issues quickly and independently
Knows when to escalate and can drive decisions to closure
Comfortable with periodic inventory audits and obsolescence reviews
Bonus Points
Familiarity with any mechanical CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks)
Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience with electronic component or PCBA sourcing and BOM optimisation
What This Role Is Not
A desk job where you coordinate manufacturing activities over email
A role where you wait for issues in production, logistics, or procurement to resolve themselves
Implements make-shift (jugaad) solutions without considering the implications
