About Rekise Marine
Rekise Marine is building autonomous ships and submarines that operate in the world's most hostile
environments. We're executing India's flagship autonomous submarine project the Jalkapi XLAUV on
order from the Indian Navy. This is an unmanned submarine weighing over 20 tons that can travel 5,000+
kilometers autonomously and operate in the ocean for 30+ days at a time.
We're creating some of the largest autonomous robots in the world, machines with direct impact on the
global economy and national security. While autonomous cars in India may still be a dream, autonomous
ships and submarines are already a reality, and it is possible to build for the world from India.
The Role
We are seeking a skilled Technical Assistant with a strong mechanical background to support our product
development and manufacturing operations. In this role, you'll work hands-on with our engineering team to
ensure our autonomous underwater vehicles meet the highest performance and reliability standards. This
is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge defense technology and contribute directly to India's
strategic capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support in mechanical assembly, fabrication, and maintenance of autonomous
marine vessels
Assist in testing, troubleshooting, and quality control of mechanical systems and components
Handle procurement of mechanical parts, tools, and materials; manage inventory and vendor
coordination
Support workshop operations including equipment setup, calibration, and preventive
maintenance
Perform administrative tasks such as documentation, filing, and coordinating with suppliers and
clients
Maintain a clean, organised work environment, ensuring safety and efficiency in the workshop
Required Qualifications
ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
2-6 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or workshop environment
Strong understanding of basic mechanical principles, machining processes, and assembly
techniques
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications
Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel)
Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
Preferred Experience
Experience in marine, aerospace, or defense manufacturing environments
Familiarity with quality control processes and documentation
Candidates based in Bengaluru are preferred
