Sales Manager - West India (Remote)

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead business growth in the Western region (Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh) with a focus on Hydro, Disaster Management, Oil & Gas, Research & Academics, and related infrastructure sectors.
This role covers the complete sales cycle-from lead generation and tender participation to contract closure-while building strong relationships with government agencies, PSUs, academic institutions, and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development:

Identify and pursue new opportunities in Hydro, Disaster Management, Oil & Gas, and Research sectors.

Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship building.
Sales Execution:

Manage the end-to-end sales process: lead qualification, solution presentation, proposal/tender submission, negotiation, and closure.

Collaborate with internal technical and operations teams to prepare high-quality techno-commercial proposals.

Ensure timely follow-ups and conversions from proposals to confirmed orders.
Tender & Government Sales:

Track, participate in, and coordinate government/PSU tenders and empanelment opportunities.

Build strong relationships with procurement authorities, project managers, and key decision-makers.
Client Management:

Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key accounts to drive repeat business and referrals.

Organize client visits, product demos, and site inspections to showcase capabilities.
Reporting & Forecasting:

Maintain accurate opportunity and pipeline data in the CRM system.

Provide weekly sales activity and forecast reports to management.

Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets as per agreed KPIs.
Required Qualifications & Skills

5-10 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in Govt/PSU, infrastructure, oil & gas, or marine-related sectors.
- Proven track record in tender-based and consultative solution selling.
- Strong understanding of Hydro, Disaster Management, Oil & Gas, or allied infrastructure projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel extensively within the assigned region.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office.
Added Advantage:
- Prior experience in selling to WRD, Disaster Management Authorities, State Hydro Departments, Oil & Gas companies, Academic/Research institutions.
- Technical background or exposure to engineering solutions / capital equipment sales.
- Established network in government departments and oil & gas sector in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh.
