Key Responsibilities:

App Quality & Functional Testing

Drive end-to-end manual testing across iOS and Android to ensure reliability, fluidity,

Design and execute detailed test cases, edge-case scenarios, and exploratory tests for

both new features and legacy flows.

Identify, document, and prioritise defects with precision; partner with engineering for

rapid, high-quality fixes.

Perform regression cycles to maintain product stability across weekly releases and

tools and best practices.

Write, optimise, and version-control automated scripts to increase test coverage and

reduce manual overhead.

Continuously evaluate where automation should replace or augment manual testing.

Performance & Reliability Testing

Run performance, load, stress, and endurance tests to ensure the app holds up under

real-world conditions (high traffic, low bandwidth, device constraints).

Track performance metrics, detect bottlenecks, and collaborate with engineers to

optimise app responsiveness.

Device, OS & Network Compatibility

Test across a wide range of devices, screen sizes, OS versions, and OEM ecosystems to

ensure consistent behaviour.

Validate app behaviour under varying network conditions - Wi-Fi, 4G/5G, intermittent

connectivity, low bandwidth.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with product managers, designers, and developers to deeply understand

requirements and translate them into testing strategies.

Actively participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, grooming, and release cycles to align

QA timelines with build pipelines.

Champion quality mindset across the team - ensuring every release meets Verona's

technical and experiential standards.

Security, Privacy & Compliance Validation

Test for vulnerabilities around authentication flows, data handling, and device

permissions.

Validate compliance with privacy and data-protection requirements (GDPR, local

regulations, secure storage practices).

Flag risks early and collaborate to mitigate them before release.

Hard Skills Required:

Experience with test automation tools

Familiarity with bug tracking and project management tools like JIRA

Strong understanding of API testing using tools

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration with QA processes.
