We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in Java-based microservices, Spring Boot, AWS EKS (Kubernetes), and Linux environments. The ideal candidate will lead design and implementation of scalable, containerized, cloud-native applications while ensuring performance, reliability, and security best practices.This role requires strong hands-on engineering capability along with architectural thinking and mentoring abilities.Key Responsibilities1. Application Development & Architecture

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade microservices using Java (8/11/17+) and Spring Boot
• Implement RESTful APIs and event-driven services
• Apply design patterns and domain-driven design principles
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and CI pipelines

2. Containerization & Kubernetes (AWS EKS)

• Deploy and manage containerized workloads on AWS EKS
• Design Kubernetes manifests (Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Ingress)
• Implement autoscaling (HPA), rolling deployments, and blue-green strategies
• Troubleshoot cluster-level and pod-level issues
• Optimize resource utilization and performance

3. Cloud & DevOps Integration

• Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines
• Build Docker images and optimize container layers
• Configure monitoring and logging (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana or similar)
• Ensure adherence to AWS Well-Architected Framework principles

4. Linux & Infrastructure Management

• Strong command over Linux OS administration
• Shell scripting and automation
• Performance tuning and troubleshooting (CPU, memory, disk, networking)
• Log analysis and system diagnostics

5. Security & Compliance

• Implement secure coding practices
• Configure IAM roles, RBAC in Kubernetes
• Manage secrets securely (KMS, Kubernetes Secrets, Vault etc.)
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards

6. Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor junior engineers
• Participate in architectural discussions
• Conduct code reviews
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Product)

Technical Skills RequiredMandatory

• 7+ years of experience in Java development
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot and Microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with AWS EKS / Kubernetes
• Proficiency in Docker and containerization
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab/GitHub Actions)
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ)

Good to Have

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
• Knowledge of Service Mesh (Istio/Linkerd)

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master degree in Computer Science or related field
