Job Purpose
The Assistant Manager Accounts will support core finance operations including bookkeeping, compliance support, coordination with cross-regional teams, and timely closure of books. The role ensures adherence to company policies, accuracy in financial documentation, and timely reporting to facilitate efficient finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Bookkeeping: Maintain daily bookkeeping for the South Region, ensuring all financial transactions (receipts, payments, journal entries) are accurately recorded in the accounting system in a timely manner.
Compliance Support: Assist in preparing and maintaining compliance-related documentation such as GST filings, TDS records, and other statutory requirements. Ensure deadlines are met and filings are accurate.
Inter-Regional Coordination: Coordinate closely with the finance teams in Mumbai and other regions to ensure consistent accounting practices and data sharing. Support centralized finance processes by providing timely inputs and reconciliations.
Ledger Management & Reconciliation: Update ledgers and perform regular reconciliations for vendor accounts, employee reimbursements, and intercompany transactions to maintain clean and audit-ready books.
Invoice Processing & Documentation: Review vendor invoices, ensure proper approvals, and submit for timely payments. Maintain systematic documentation for audit trail and reference.
Timely Closure of Accounts: Ensure the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books is done in line with company timelines and policies. Collaborate with team members to avoid delays in financial reporting.
Support for MIS & Reporting: Contribute to the generation of financial reports and MIS dashboards by sharing accurate data inputs. Flag anomalies or trends that need managerial attention.
Policy Adherence & Process Compliance: Follow internal financial processes and standard operating procedures diligently. Raise red flags in case of
deviations and support internal audits and compliance checks.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Finance
1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in a regional or branch-level finance role
Knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance
Experience with accounting tools like Tally or ERP systems is desirable
