Reporting: Director of Sales

About the Role

We're looking for a Category manager to build and scale our new line of business from the ground up. This is a 01 role with high ownership, where you'll be responsible for defining the category strategy, driving growth, and executing at a granular level. This is not a pure strategy role - we want someone who can think big but also get into the weeds. You'll work directly with clients, build processes, lead a team, and drive outcomes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

What You'll Own

Category P&L: End-to-end ownership of revenue, growth, and profitability Business Buildout: Define category strategy, GTM approach, and execution roadmap.

Client Acquisition & Growth:

Directly engage with clients

Drive new business development and key account growth

Get into operational details - funnel, conversion, and execution

Build scalable processes from scratch

Hire, mentor, and manage a high-performing team

Create a strong ownership-driven culture

Work closely with product, ops, and leadership to drive outcomes

Experience:

10-12 years of B2B experience in high-growth startups / new-age companies

Combination of Enterprise and SMB experience.

Strong track record of building and scaling a business/category - Supply chain financing,

Payments & SMB lending

MBA/ Undergraduate from a Tier 1/Tier 2 institute

High ownership and bias for action

comfortable with ambiguity and building from scratch

Willingness to get hands-on and dive deep into execution

Skillset:

Strong business acumen + execution capability

Excellent stakeholder and client management skills

Analytical and structured problem-solving approach

Leadership:

Experience managing teams, while still being an individual contributor when needed

What Will Make You Stand Out

Experience in 01 or 110 scaling journeys

Prior ownership of a revenue line or category

Strong hustle - ability to close deals, solve problems, and unblock growth.
