Job Title: Product Manager - AI Transformation (Commodities & Finance Focus)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a strategic Product Manager to play a pivotal role in a cutting-edge AI project focused on commodities trading and quantitative finance. You will be the vital link between our business stakeholders (including traders, trade analysts, and operations teams) and our technology/AI development teams. Leveraging your deep understanding of ERP systems and software technology, you will analyze complex business processes to identify opportunities where AI-driven solutions can deliver cost optimization and support trading decisions. You will also conceptualize and design products that deliver efficiencies from automation in the best possible way.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with business leaders, subject matter experts, and end-users across
commodities trading, hedge fund operations, quantitative finance, and potentially shipping/logistics to gather, analyze, and document complex business processes for AI-driven solutions.
Analyze existing workflows, data sources, and systems (including ERPs) to identify meaningful data that can inform our AI models .
Translate complex business needs into clear, detailed functional and technical specifications, user stories, process flows, and data models for development teams.
Act as a subject matter expert on business processes, data requirements, and system capabilities related to commodities, finance (futures, options, quant strategies), and trade lifecycles.
Work with data scientists and AI engineers to define data requirements, understand model outputs, and ensure AI solutions meet business objectives.
Support the project lifecycle, including design, development, testing (UAT coordination and execution), and implementation of AI and software solutions.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Stay abreast of industry trends, AI advancements, and best practices relevant to the target domains.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, managing expectations and providing clear updates on progress and challenges.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Product Manager with a significant focus on technology-driven projects.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, technology architecture, and integration principles.
Proven ability to analyze complex problems, synthesize information, and develop innovative solutions.
Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex
concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and requirements elicitation.
Must be based in or willing to relocate to Navi Mumbai.

Must Have Skills
Figma
Use of MS Excel or Google Sheets to manage, analyse and present data
Prompt Engineering, RAG pipelines and knowledge of latest LLM models
Project Management Fundamentals and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Financial Markets & Commodities Knowledge (Preferred)
Agile Methodologies (Preferred)

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Direct experience working on AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics projects.
Significant experience within one or more of the following domains:
o Commodities Trading (Physicals, Energy, Metals, Softs)
o Commodity Futures & Options
o Hedge Funds / Asset Management
o Quantitative Finance / Trading
o Trade Finance or Operations
o Shipping / Logistics

Familiarity with electronic trading platforms, risk management systems, or ETRM/CTRM systems.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python) and business intelligence platforms is a plus.
