What will you do
We are seeking a Senior DBA with expertise in Cassandra, YugabyteDB, and Neo4j to manage
and optimize mission-critical distributed database systems.
This role focuses on cluster health,
scalability, high availability, and performance for databases supporting fintech applications.
Job Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain Cassandra, YugabyteDB, and Neo4j clusters in
production and non-production environments.
Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and replication across distributed nodes.
Monitor cluster health, throughput, latency, and resource utilization; proactively resolve
issues.
Perform capacity planning, sharding strategies, and cluster scaling.
Implement and manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies for distributed databases
Troubleshoot and resolve node failures, data inconsistencies, and replication delays.
Work closely with application and infrastructure teams during releases and upgrades.
Maintain cluster topology documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
Participate in 247 On-call rotations to support production clusters
What are we looking for:
Hands-on experience managing distributed or NoSQL databases.
Ability to design, optimize, and scale distributed database architectures.
Ownership of cluster performance, reliability, and failover strategies.
Strong expertise in Cassandra and/or YugabyteDB cluster administration.
Experience with Neo4j graph database operations.
Solid understanding of distributed system concepts: replication, consistency, partitioning,
fault tolerance.
Knowledge of monitoring and troubleshooting tools for distributed clusters.
Experience working in high-availability, 247 production environments.
