Here's the roles and responsibilities in detail:

  1. Strategy - Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the company's goals and brand voice across platforms like Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  2. Content Operations - Lead and mentor the Social Media Executive and other contributors (designers, freelancers, etc). All content will be created in-house.
  3. Content Creation: Strong command of Instagram and short-form video content. Bonus: Canva, Figma, InShot or any editing tool. Visit sports venues/courts to shoot original content (reels, highlights, BTS, interviews) during/post working hours. Assist in ideating and producing high-quality content: short-form videos, carousels, reels, stories, and creatives.
  4. Reporting: Create fortnightly/monthly/quarterly content reports, aligning with marketing goals, events, and brand moments.
  5. Real-Time Marketing: Lead and oversee on-ground content capture alongside the Social Media Executive - ensuring key events, player stories, and community moments are documented through real-time content that aligns with brand strategy and storytelling goals.
  6. Internal Collaborations: Collaborate with the business teams to generate creative ideas for social media campaigns, venue launches, promotions, in-app banner designs, etc.
  7. Research & Insight - Monitor social media channels for trends, relevant news, and real-time opportunities to engage with our audience. Research competitor activity, algorithm updates, best practices, emerging platforms, and digital trends to inform the social media strategy.
  8. Social Media hygiene - Respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner, cultivating relationships with followers and influencers.
  9. External Collaborations - Manage social media collaborations, including partnerships with influencers and other brands.
  10. Offline activities - Actively covering offline activities, engaging with customers, and internal staff to create original and sustainable content.
  11. Design - Being an internal design and editing export to publish content at high speeds.


Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience managing social media for a brand (startup, lifestyle, fitness, or youth-centric preferred).
  • Proven ability to own and scale a brand's online voice and presence.
  • Strong understanding of what performs on social, and how to balance creative intuition with performance data.
  • Experience leading small teams, agencies, or freelance creators.
  • Comfortable being hands-on - from content planning, content creation to being on the field for key content capture moments.
  • Proficient in analytics tools (Meta Suite, LinkedIn Analytics, etc.).
  • Passion for sports IS A MUST - you play, watch, or vibe with the lifestyle. If you play pickleball/padle its a plus.
