Job Description - Lead IT Infrastructure Support & Operations

About the Role
We are seeking a visionary and highly-motivated candidate to lead our IT Infrastructure Support
& Operations Team with a strong emphasis on strategic partnership and team empowerment.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with a strong technical background, exceptional
communication skills, and a proven ability to build, mentor, and hands-on with day to day
nuances.
Your Mission
Your mission is to elevate the IT Infrastructure and support function from a cost center to a
strategic pillar of our organization. You will build and lead a team that doesn't just respond to
issues but proactively anticipates business needs. You will be the force behind a world-class
technology environment that empowers every employee to do their best work, drives innovation,
and secures our position as a leader in the FinTech space.
Key Areas of Accountability
1. Strategic Technology Leadership
IT Strategy & Alignment: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute a
forward-looking IT strategy that anticipates business needs and aligns directly with
organizational goals.
Innovation & Future Vision: Stay on the cutting edge of emerging technologies and
industry trends to drive innovation and identify new opportunities for growth and
efficiency.
Vendor Partnership: Transform vendor relationships into strategic partnerships, ensuring
services not only meet but exceed our organizational needs and defined contractual
obligations.
Leadership Representation: Publish IT metrics and represent the IT function in
leadership and related IT committees
2. Visionary People Leadership
Team Building & Mentorship: Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of
ownership, curiosity, and relentless improvement.
Coaching & Development: Go beyond performance evaluations to actively coach team
members, identify their professional development needs, and provide guidance to help
them reach their full potential.
Empowerment: Delegate responsibility and empower your team to take ownership of
their work, encouraging them to think strategically and contribute to the bigger picture.
3. Secure & Resilient Infrastructure
Network Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of
network infrastructure. Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security of network
services.
Enterprise Security & IAM: Champion our security posture by developing and managing
robust Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, implementing/managing security
controls, and driving 100% compliance to security/regulatory requirements. Lead regular
user access reviews to ensure permissions are appropriate and based on the principle of
least privilege.
Proactive Compliance: Ensure continuous compliance with relevant regulations and
standards (e.g., ISO 27001:2022, ITIL) through proactive audits and the development of
clear IT policies and procedures.
Risk & Vulnerability Management: Drive the enforcement of IT security policies and
ensure regular patch management and updates to protect against vulnerabilities.
4. Operational Excellence & Business Enablement
Service Delivery: Oversee the day-to-day operations and service delivery, ensuring they
are not just efficient but also consistently enhance user satisfaction. Monitor service level
agreements (SLAs) proactively to address performance issues.
Project & Change Management: Provide strategic oversight for all IT projects, ensuring
they are delivered on time and within budget, with a clear focus on business outcomes.
Incident & Recovery: Lead and champion incident response efforts for security breaches
or system failures, and develop a robust disaster recovery plan to minimize downtime.
Desired Skills & Experience
Technical Expertise: 10+ years of experience in IT management, with a strong focus on
access management, compliance, and network management.
Strategic Acumen: Proven experience collaborating with senior leadership to align IT
with organizational goals.
Broking Infrastructure: Experience with setting up managing server-side and user-side
Broking infrastructure (covering Trading systems, BCP / DR setup, Branch network,
Dealer terminals, Exchange connectivity)
IT Security: Understanding of the IT Security requirements emanating from SEBI and
RBI, especially related to Broking and Internet Based Trading
Framework Focus: A strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management
processes, and IT/security governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001).
Leadership: A proven track record of building and managing successful teams and
fostering a collaborative culture.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to
effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a
related field is required.
