Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
• Implement and manage VMware Cloud Foundation environments, including compute, storage, and network virtualisation.
• Perform day-to-day administration of VMware vSphere, vSAN, and related components within the VCF stack.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise virtual infrastructure for performance, availability, and security.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support cloud migration projects and integrate VCF with existing IT services.
• Develop and maintain documentation relating to architecture, processes, and procedures.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions in VCF environments.
• Stay up to date with the latest VMware and VCF developments, recommending enhancements and best practices.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other IT staff and stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience
• Proven experience with VMware virtualisation technologies, especially VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
• Strong knowledge of windows server, VMware vSphere, vSAN, and SDDC concepts.
• Experience with designing and implementing cloud or hybrid cloud solutions.
• Solid understanding of networking, storage, and security in virtualised environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and deliver effective solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Relevant VMware certifications (e.g., VCP-DCV, VCAP, VCF Specialist) are highly desirable.
Desirable Qualifications
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., PowerCLI, Ansible) for VMware environments.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage.
• Experience in large-scale, enterprise environments.
• Basic understanding of Linux / Unix
• Experience in handling the windows server related issues as well.
