Job Description:
Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Snowflake as the core data warehouse
Build and manage dbt models, including staging, intermediate, and marts following analytics engineering best practices
Implement ELT frameworks, performance tuning, and cost optimization in Snowflake
Collaborate with analytics, BI, data science, and business teams to deliver trusted datasets
Apply data modeling techniques (dimensional, star/snowflake schemas) for analytical use cases
Ensure data quality, testing, documentation, and lineage using dbt features
Manage CI/CD pipelines for data deployments using tools like Git, GitHub/GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.
Work with orchestration tools such as Airflow / Azure Data Factory / Prefect
Handle semi-structured data (JSON, Parquet, Avro) and unstructured data in Snowflake
Implement security, access control, and governance best practices
Guide and mentor junior engineers and review code for quality and standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
6+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering
Strong experience with Snowflake (architecture, performance tuning, cost management, streams & tasks)
Solid hands-on experience with dbt (Core or Cloud) including macros, tests, exposures, and documentation
Proficiency in SQL (advanced queries, optimization techniques)
Experience with Python for data processing and automation
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience with data orchestration tools (Airflow / ADF / similar)
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and analytics engineering principles
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
Excellent communication skills and stakeholder collaboration
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
Mentoring and team leadership experience
Good to Have
Exposure to real-time data processing (Kafka, Snowpipe Streaming, etc.)
