Essential Job Functions:

Prepare and post journal entries for weekly, month-end closing process
- Accruals
- Payroll JE preparation
- Local bank transaction entries
- Revenue recording
- Cash collection conversion recording
- Reclassifications

Support month-end closing accounting routines
- Review of expenses, completeness checking
- Prepare/Review balance sheet reconciliation (prepaid, accruals, Interco, AP and investigate variances
- Monitor and coordinate with the internal team the bank recon items for posting
- Prepare monthly working trial balance with balance sheet schedules (CIB, interco, prepayments, accruals)
- Prepare Cost plus mark-up revenue invoicing and cost transfers
- Monitors revenue collection and provides details in posting the collection to be taken care of AP team (Interco transaction)

Assist with periodic tax and company’s filings
- Manage BIR requirements related to withholding taxes, VAT, income tax, and other mandatory filings.
- Submission of schedules, supporting documents, to tax vendors for tax computation and filing
- Reconciliation of expenses per book versus expenses subjected to withholding tax
- Review of RPT transactions, contracts (for documentary stamp tax assessment)
- Monitoring and follow up on the tax filings and related tax payments
- Assist in responding to BIR notices, audit requests, and tax queries; compile relevant documents and reconciliations.
- Maintain organized records of statutory filings, permits, and government correspondence.
- Collaborate with external auditors/tax consultants and ensure timely delivery of requested schedules.
- Support BOI-related compliance, including preparation of reports, monitoring of BOI incentives, and submission of required documentation.
- Coordination with treasury on the collection of receivables for collection monitoring and posting
- Assist with cash requirements and cash flow projections for tax payment matters
- Assist in financial reporting for APAC to ensure the financial reports are prepared in an accurate and timely manner and in compliance with the Corporate Accounting Policy and local GAAP.
- Assist in preparation of the US GAAP to monthly bridge report
- Ad hoc reporting and tasks
- Experience: 5-8 years
- University degree in Accounting/Finance
- 3 years+ experience in commercial accounting field, preferably with background from consulting/service companies
- CPA is an advantage but not required.
- Proven experience handling BIR tax filings and compliance.
- Knowledge and experience in BOI-reporting requirements and incentive monitoring.
- Strong understanding of Philippine tax laws and statutory deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Words, PowerPoint)
- Detail-oriented and able to work under tight deadlines
- Able to work independently and multitask
- Proven problem-solving skills when faced with unique and new challenges
- Good communication skills, especially in coordinating with government agencies and external consultants.
- Experience working with diverse teams
