  • This role focuses on developing reliable data pipelines, enabling ML model productionization, and building lightweight applications that make data and insights accessible to business teams.
  • You will work closely with data scientists to operationalize machine learning models, build scalable pipelines on Databricks, and integrate ML outputs into downstream tools such as Gainsight and internal analytics platforms.
  • In addition, you will develop simple data applications (e.g., Streamlit apps) that allow stakeholders to explore insights and interact with ML predictions.
  • This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working across the stack—from data pipelines to ML workflows to lightweight applications that deliver business impact.
Essential Job Functions:
Data Engineering & Pipeline Development
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support analytics and machine learning workflows.
  • Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, PySpark, SQL, and Delta Lake on Databricks.
  • Implement data ingestion pipelines from APIs, product telemetry, and external systems.
  • Build reliable and well-tested workflows for transforming raw data into ML-ready datasets and features.
  • Optimize Spark jobs and data pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Machine Learning Workflow Enablement
  • Collaborate with data scientists to operationalize ML models and prediction pipelines.
  • Build feature pipelines and datasets that support model training, evaluation, and inference.
  • Integrate ML outputs (predictions, segmentation, scores) into production data workflows.
  • Implement monitoring and automation for model retraining and pipeline health.
  • Support experimentation and feature engineering workflows for ML projects.
Data Applications & Tooling
  • Build lightweight data applications (e.g., Streamlit apps) to expose insights and ML predictions to internal stakeholders.
  • Develop tools that allow product and marketing teams to explore model outputs, segmentation, and performance metrics.
  • Enable self-serve access to data insights through simple and Clientive interfaces.
Integration with Business Systems
  • Build pipelines and services that deliver ML outputs to downstream platforms such as Gainsight and other marketing or product tools.
  • Implement APIs or automated workflows to integrate data products with external systems.
  • Ensure reliable data delivery and integration across internal analytics and operational systems.
Platform & Workflow Automation
  • Develop automated workflows using Databricks Workflows, Airflow, or similar orchestration tools.
  • Implement CI/CD best practices for data pipelines and ML workflows.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline failures, data anomalies, and system performance issues.
  • Document pipeline architecture, workflows, and operational runbooks.
Qualifications:
Must-Have Skills
  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering, ML engineering, or related roles.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL for large-scale data processing.
  • Extensive experience building scalable data pipelines using Spark / PySpark.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, or similar distributed data platforms.
  • Experience supporting machine learning workflows and operationalizing ML outputs in production environments.
  • Experience integrating data pipelines with external systems via APIs or automated workflows.
  • Strong debugging, monitoring, and performance optimization skills for distributed data pipelines.
  • Experience designing data models and pipelines that support analytics and ML use cases.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with data scientists, product teams, and engineering partners.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building lightweight data applications using Streamlit, Dash, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with ML lifecycle tools (MLflow, model registries, experiment tracking)
  • Familiarity with Azure Cloud (Azure ML, Data Factory, AKS, ACR, Event Hub)
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of feature stores and model monitoring frameworks
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices, model monitoring, and retraining workflows.
  • Experience integrating ML outputs with customer success platforms (e.g., Gainsight).
  • Experience working with product usage data, user segmentation, or behavioral analytics.
