About The Job:
- We are seeking a Network Engineer with strong enterprise wireless expertise to build, implement, and support campus Wi Fi solutions.
- Hands-on role requiring expertise with Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers, Cisco Access Points, and HPE Aruba infrastructure.
- Ability to independently engage stakeholders and execute deployments and migrations.
- Exp 9 to 13 years.
Essential Job Functions:
- Engage business and IT stakeholders to implement wireless requirements across campuses and offices.
- Define wireless outcomes including coverage, performance, capacity, resiliency, and security.
- Conduct workshops and provide design recommendations with tradeoffs and timelines.
- Coordinate cross-functional readiness including security policies and integrations.
- Build, Implementation and Migration Delivery.
- Design enterprise wireless solutions for Cisco and Aruba environments.
- Develop HLD, LLD, RF plans, cutover plans, and runbooks.
- Implement WLAN security including WPA2, WPA3, 802.1X and authentication flows.
- Configure segmentation, QoS, monitoring, and logging standards.
- Deploy WLAN configurations, AAA integrations, and captive portals.
- Execute migration activities including site setup, AP staging and controller upgrades.
- Validate solutions through testing and pilot rollouts.
- Operations and Troubleshooting.
- Provide support for roaming issues, connectivity failures and performance problems.
- Troubleshoot RF interference and capacity challenges.
- Perform root cause analysis and drive resolutions.
- Monitor performance and optimize wireless service reliability.
- Security and Governance.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards.
- Support audits, compliance checks and security assessments.
- Maintain secure operational practices including patching and vulnerability management.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications.
- 6 years of enterprise network engineering experience with wireless focus.
- 3 to 5+ years hands-on experience with Cisco WLC, Cisco Client, and Aruba Wi Fi.
- Experience managing end-to-end delivery from design to operations.
- Strong knowledge of RF design, WLAN security and troubleshooting methods.
- Solid networking fundamentals including VLANs, routing, DHCP, DNS and QoS.
- Experience with Aruba Mobility Controllers or Aruba Central.
- Experience with Cisco WLC platforms.
- Knowledge of NAC integrations including Cisco Client or ClearPass.
- Automation using scripting and APIs.
- Experience supporting voice and video over Wi Fi.
- Strong ownership and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and management.
- Structured approach to root cause analysis.
- Strong documentation and design skills.
