About The Job:
  • A Jira Administrator is responsible for managing, configuring, and maintaining the Atlassian Jira platform.
  • They ensure smooth workflow management, user access control, and system optimization to support development and business teams.
Essential Job Functions:
Jira Configuration & Administration
  • Configure Jira projects, workflows, issue types, and screens
  • Customize dashboards, filters, and reports
  • Manage custom fields and field configurations
User Management
  • Create and manage user accounts, roles, and permissions
  • Handle access control and security schemes
  • Support onboarding/offboarding of users
Workflow Management
  • Design and optimize workflows based on business needs
  • Implement automation rules (using tools like Jira Automation)
  • Maintain workflow schemes and transitions
Integration & Plugins
  • Integrate Jira with tools like:
    • Confluence
    • Bitbucket
  • Install, configure, and manage plugins from Atlassian Marketplace
System Maintenance
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Perform upgrades and patch management
  • Ensure data backups and recovery processes
Reporting & Support
  • Generate reports and dashboards for stakeholders
  • Provide technical support and training to users
  • Document processes and best practices
Qualifications:
  • Exp: 5 To 9 years
Technical Skills
  • Strong hands-on experience with Jira (Cloud or Data Center)
  • Knowledge of workflows, schemes, and permissions
  • Experience with JQL (Jira Query Language)
  • Understanding of REST APIs and integrations
Soft Skills
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Good communication and stakeholder management
  • Attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • Atlassian certifications (e.g., Jira Administrator certification)
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments

  • Junior: 1–3 years
  • Mid-level: 3–5 years
  • Senior: 5+ years
Nice-to-Have
  • Experience with scripting (Groovy, Python)
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with tools like Jenkins .
