Essential Job Functions:
- Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor & SolidWorks.
- Manage product data and revision control using PDM tools (any industry-standard PDM).
- Day to day sustenance work (ECO/ECR/ECN)
- Perform engineering calculations to validate design integrity, strength, and performance.
- Apply GD&T principles for precise dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Design components and assemblies for sheet metal, fabrication, casting, machining, and welded structures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, sourcing, Electrical) to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
- Prepare and maintain BOMs, design documentation, and technical reports.
- Support prototype development, product testing, and design improvements.
- Troubleshoot design issues and propose solutions based on engineering principles
- Experience 4-6 yrs
Mandatory Skills
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor & SolidWorks (Part moClienting, sheet metal, Assemblies, Drawings).
- Experience working with any PDM system (SolidWorks PDM, Teamcenter, Windchill, etc.).
- Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in selecting standard parts like Motors, bearings, seals, valves etc.
- Experience in applying DFX principles & DFMEA.
- Experience in material selection, heat treatment and coating technologies.

Hands-on experience in:
- Sheet metal design
- Fabrication design
- Welded structures
- Machined components
- Casting design
- Good knowledge of Welding symbols, GD&T and standards (ISO/ASME).
- Strong engineering calculation skills (stress, tolerance stack-up, fits, etc.).
- Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Working experience in NPD/VAVE
- Basic FEA skills
- Machine design
- Plastic parts design/Moulding processes
- Knowledge of Hydraulics & Pneumatics
- Education BE/B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering
