Essential Job Functions:
- Perform end-to-end testing of Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
- Validate data accuracy, transformations, and calculations across Power BI datasets.
- Execute Data Testing to ensure source-to-target reconciliation and data integrity.
- Conduct ETL testing for data pipelines, including validation of business rules and transformations.
- Test data coming from multiple sources such as databases, files, and APIs.
- Validate insurance domain KPIs, metrics, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Identify, log, track, and retest defects using standard defect management tools.
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, BI Developers, and Business Analysts.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test execution reports.
- Support UAT and production validation activities during releases and data refresh cycles.
- Experience - 8 to 10 years
- 6+ years of experience in QA with strong focus on Data and ETL testing.
- Hands-on experience testing Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets.
- Strong SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and analysis.
- Solid understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and pipelines.
- Prior experience working in the Insurance domain (claims, policy, underwriting, premiums, etc.).
- Experience validating complex business rules and data transformations.
- Familiarity with BI/data testing best practices and QA methodologies.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to work in the 2 PM – 11 PM IST shift
