About The Job:
- We are seeking an experienced Application Development and Infrastructure Engineer with a strong object-oriented development background to support cloud-native platforms and associated infrastructure.
- This role requires hands-on engineering capability, the ability to provide BAU operational support, and experience working in modern cloud and Kubernetes-based environments.
- Design, develop, and support applications and supporting infrastructure in cloud-native environments
- Provide BAU operational support, including incident resolution, stability, and continuous improvement
- Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines for applications and platform components
- Work closely with cloud, platform, and engineering teams to integrate and operate scalable solutions
- Support Kubernetes-based workloads and associated infrastructure
- Implement and support observability and monitoring capabilities
- Contribute to automation, standardisation, and engineering best practices
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- Strong object-oriented development background using Java (Spring Boot), Python, Go, or Rust
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
- Strong experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Harness)
- Solid cloud platform experience with AWS and/or Azure
- Proven ability to perform BAU operational support
- Experience working with cloud-native observability and monitoring concepts
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry
- Hands-on, delivery-focused engineer
- Comfortable working across both application development and infrastructure
- Able to operate independently in complex, production environments
