Essential Job Functions:
- Design, develop, and maintain LookML models, explores, and derived tables to create a scalable data layer.
- Ensure best practices in LookML architecture, governance, and security.
- Optimize query performance using effective LookML structure and BigQuery optimizations.
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure efficient data structuring and ingestion.
- Build executive dashboards using Looker, Looker Studio, and Tableau.
- Develop interactive and self-serve reporting experiences for business users.
- Ensure dashboard performance and seamless integration with BigQuery and cloud data sources.
- Maintain clear storytelling and consistent branding across dashboards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into scalable solutions.
- Mentor junior data visualization engineers and promote best practices.
- Implement access controls, row-level security, and governance policies.
- Establish naming conventions, CI/CD practices, and documentation standards.
