About The Client:

Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain, debug, and improve the automation framework codebase written primarily in Java.
- Develop new automation components and extend framework capabilities based on business testing needs.
- Collaborate closely with QA teams, developers, and business analysts to translate requirements into automation solutions.
- Manage and optimize integration between the automation framework and CI/CD pipelines, test management tools, and defect tracking systems. Create and maintain reusable keywords, data-driven test design practices, and custom reporting dashboards.
- Support the migration, versioning, and continuous enhancement of automation assets.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and performance tuning to ensure stable and efficient operation.
- Provide technical guidance and training for consultants and QA engineers utilizing the framework.
- Implement security best practices including code obfuscation and compliance with industry standards.
- Execute version control management, branching strategies, and release deployment of automation framework updates.
- Assist in troubleshooting complex automation failures and provide efficient fixes.
Required Skills and ExperienceExpert-level
- Java programming skills, including solid OOP, multithreading, collections, and exception handling.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining or developing Java-based test automation frameworks.
- In-depth understanding of keyword-driven, data-driven, and modular test design approaches.
- Experience with integration of automation frameworks into CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tool integrations.
- Strong skills in debugging large legacy Java codebases and improving code quality.
- Experience with build automation tools like Maven or Gradle.
- Knowledge or experience with code obfuscation techniques (e.g., ProGuard).
- Familiarity with basic UI automation libraries such as Selenium WebDriver is a plus.
- Good understanding of software testing lifecycle, test automation best practices, and Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with Java Swing or desktop UI components, useful for maintaining any custom UI tools.
- Working knowledge of API testing frameworks and related automation.
- Ability to document code and workflows clearly and concisely.
- Prior exposure to compliance or regulatory environments is a bonus.
