This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Oracle DBA based in India.

This role is focused on ensuring the stability, performance, and security of enterprise Oracle database environments that support critical business applications. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end database operations, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Oracle systems. The position plays a key role in safeguarding data integrity through robust backup, recovery, and security practices. You will work closely with development and infrastructure teams to support evolving business needs and ensure seamless database performance. The environment is fast-paced and highly collaborative, requiring strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. This is an excellent opportunity for a database professional who enjoys working on large-scale systems and improving data reliability and efficiency.

Accountabilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database systems to ensure high availability and performance
  • Design and manage secure database storage structures aligned with organizational requirements
  • Perform database tuning, optimization, and structural changes to support evolving business needs
  • Create and manage database user accounts, roles, and access controls
  • Implement and monitor backup and recovery strategies, including autonomous backups and restoration processes
  • Maintain database security by regularly updating protocols and ensuring compliance standards are met
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve database issues impacting performance or data integrity
  • Collaborate with technical teams to support application integration and database-related requirements
  • Provide guidance and support to users on database access and usage when required

Requirements:

  • 5-9 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator in enterprise environments
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, design, and administration best practices
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, database backup/recovery procedures, and performance tuning
  • Understanding of database security management, user access controls, and compliance practices
  • Familiarity with programming concepts, APIs, and system integration is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex database issues
  • Ability to understand and work with algorithmic and data structures concepts
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
