Basic understanding of:
- Excel and visualization tool & working experience in PowerBI or Tableau or Similar
- Batch and Real time data processing
- Agile Process (Scrum cadences, Roles, deliverables) & working experience in either Azure DevOps, JIRA or Similar
Strong In/should have:
- End to End data warehousing systems from Data modelling to Reporting
- Hands-on experience with Database and reporting testing
- Hands-on experience on at least one of the Scripting/Programming languages like Unit or Python
- Writing complex SQL queries & working experience in Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift or Similar
- Automation testing using Java, Python etc.
- Understanding and writing functional specifications/technical specifications/Business rules/Data rules.
- Responsible for turning gathered requirements into test cases and scripts in both ETL & Reporting areas.
- Author test strategy, test plans, test cases, and/or test scripts required to validate requirements.
- Understand the existing report design, build test scripts and write SQL statements to validate reports
- Understanding and Analyzing Test Requirements, Tracking changes and maintenance of test Requirements
Test Engineers will be responsible for the design, development, testing, maintenance, and support data assets including; Azure Data Lake and data warehouse development, modeling, package creation, SQL script creation, stored procedure development, integration services support among other responsibilities.
Candidate have at least 3-5 years hands-on Azure experience as a Test Engineer, must be an expert in SQL and have extensive expertise building data pipelines. Candidate will be accountable for meeting deliverable commitments including schedule and quality compliance. This Candidate must have skills to plan and schedule own work activities, coordinate activities with other cross-functional team members to meet project goals.
