Job Summary: The SolarWinds L3 Engineer is responsible for the advanced management, configuration, and enhancement of SolarWinds environments. This role involves working closely with IT teams to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of network monitoring systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to SolarWinds applications and infrastructure.
- Configuration Management: Implement and manage configurations for SolarWinds modules, ensuring they meet organizational requirements.
- Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor network performance and provide insights to improve system efficiency.
- Enhancements: Identify opportunities for enhancements in the existing SolarWinds environment and implement improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to IT staff on the use and management of SolarWinds tools.
- Incident Management: Act as the escalation point for L2 support teams, handling critical incidents and ensuring timely resolution.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years focused on SolarWinds administration.
- Skills: Proficiency in SolarWinds modules such as NPM, SAM, NTA, and others. Strong understanding of network protocols and infrastructure.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP) are preferred.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
