L3 WAN/LAN n Wireless Network Engineer

Job Description

Responsibility:
Experience supporting both Wide Area Network and Local Area and wireless (Routing, switching n wireless) Network technologies in a large-scale geographically diverse environment including Remote support.
Extensive Cisco experience with the following technologies protocols & techniques:

• IP Routing (e.g. RIP, EIGRP, OSPF and BGP) & route control mechanisms (route filtering, route maps, etc)
• LAN communications (including 802.1q-based VLANs, link aggregation & Cisco VTP, STP, HSRP, NAC, Port Channel)
• WAN communications (including MPLS, OSPF, Internet, BGP, 4G, EIGRP, etc..)
• Packet encryption (IPSEC, ISAKMP, DMVPN, etc)
• Network management protocols (SNMP, DHCP, DNS, etc)
• Process automation through scripting (e.g. Shell, Perl, Python, Ansible, etc)
• Advanced Troubleshooting Skills
• Switches: Cisco Nexus 7K, 5K, 2K, Cisco 6500, 4500, 3750, 3550, 2960, 2950
• Routers: Cisco 7609, 7606, 3800, 3700, 3600, ASR, ISR
• Experience with Nexus
• Clear understanding of 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi standards and related components
• Strong Knowledge on Cisco Aironet 802.11a,b/g,n CAPWAPP/IOS Access Points, Wireless LAN Controllers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong customer focus and demonstrated ability to work in geographically dispersed teams
• Must have Microsoft Office applications skills
• Change management: ITIL process and knowledge on Tools like Cherwell, Solarwinds, etc
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network related incidents – Specifically Cisco related.
