Intermediate knowledge of:
- Infrastructure, Automation (Preferred), NexGen Firewalls (For example: Cisco Firepower, ASA, Palo Alto etc), IPSEC and SSL VPN technologies, Profile Management (For example: MPF, DOS Protection)
- Networking concepts and devices [All OSI Layers], Load balancers (For example: F5, LTM/GTM, Citrix), HTTP Protocol, Secure Socket Layer (SSL), DNS, Content switching policies
- Additional modules from different vendors (For example: GTM, APM, AFM)
- Understanding of network packet analysis via tools such as wireshark and TCP dump.
- Developing knowledge in Networking, Windows administration, or Linux administration
- Understanding of how traffic flows through an environment, both hosting-based and cloud-based environments
Intermediate understanding of:
- Dynamic Routing Protocols (for example: BGP, OSPF)
- Security concepts, principles, and technologies
- Public cloud platforms
Understanding of services and protocols commonly used in hosting environments: web servers, database servers, mail servers, name servers
Knowledgeable in the application of current and emerging network software and hardware technology and protocols
Requires expanded conceptual knowledge in own job discipline and broadens capabilities
Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work
