Role : Technical Programme Manager to work on Data Platform project portfolio.

Location: Bangalore
Required experience:
- 5yrs+ Technical Project Management. Working in Matrix teams where the engineering staff report to others and contribute to projects.
- Data Platforms work is essential with experience on the platform management, rather than the applications that sit on the Platforms.
- Work includes outward facing Regular Request Fulfilment, with eye on standards, metrics for velocity of delivery, ability to help application teams who require platform work to enable their projects.
- Platform engineering projects that are internally facing include Housekeeping Projects to maximise efficiency of platform, software currency to ensure upgrades happen on time, etc.
Required skills:
- Ability to clearly define scope and outcomes so all parties know what we are working on.
- Must be date focused with desire to achieve outcome with the team, to high standard and on time.
- Jira experience including report and data extracts to allow meaningful discussion on velocity, bottlenecks etc.
- Hadoop and component experience is needed (Spark, HDFS, Hive, Yarn, etc) as this is a complex environment.
- Successful candidate needs a structured approach (e.g. ceremonies, RAIDD, comms etc) with an eye to sharing improvements to processes.
Desirable Skills:
- Aha! Experience would be an advantage, but not essential.
- Teradata experience would help as that is our other Big Data Platform.
